- 2nd August, 2019: Witham Ambulance Trust donates funds to both St John Ambulance and the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance
Witham Ambulance Trust has been providing funds for the poor and deserving who need it to travel from Witham to Hospital Appointments after the first world war in 1921. Recently however they have decided to close the Trust as there has been less of a local need. The Trustees decided that they would like the remaining trust fund of £5,201 to be divided equally between St John Ambulance, and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance. Tony Walters confirmed that these funds would be put towards purchasing a new Radio Repeater (based in Colchester) - which would enhance radio coverage in North Essex for First Aid Volunteers and Ambulance Drivers.

- 2nd March, 2019: Coffee Morning at Great Bardfield Vicarage
For the past twelve years Dr Beaken and his parishioners at Great and Little Bardfield have raised money for the Priory of England and the Islands and for St John Eye Hospital. On the following Sunday, Dr Beaken told his congregation about his visit to the soup kitchen for the homeless, and after church it was agreed to hold a Coffee Morning in his Vicarage to support them. This was held on 2nd March 2019 and was attended by the Lord-Lieutenant of Essex, members of the Order of St John and the Order of Malta, and by many parishioners. The Coffee Morning raised the splendid sum of £1,200, which has been passed on the soup kitchen.
